Historical Background
Public School Gadap (PSG) was envisioned by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in 1994 under a national initiative to establish public schools in each district of Sindh. Its foundation stone was laid by then Chief Minister (Late) Syed Abdullah Shah in October 1994. The project was operationalized in 2011 through an MoU between the Government of Sindh and Sindh Graduates Association (SGA), with academic operations beginning on 9th November 2012. PSG is managed by the SGA Board of Governors, renewed every three years, and follows a structured governance policy.

Location
PSG is located on main Gadap Road, 22 km from Super Highway Karachi, in a serene and peaceful environment. The campus spans 50 acres, featuring purpose-built academic and residential infrastructure.
Academics & Scope
- Offers formal education from Class VI to XII.
- Affiliated with Boards of Secondary and Intermediate Education, Karachi.
- Students are admitted based on merit, with some seats reserved for other provinces under a quota system.
- Age criteria:
- Class VI: 10.5 to 12.5 years
- Class VII: 11.5 to 13.5 years
- Class VIII: 12.5 to 14.5 years
Current Enrollment (Academic Year 2023–24)
- Total students: 652
- Boarders: 382 (325 SEF-supported, 20 PSG-funded, 37 self-financed)
- Day Scholars: 270 (20 SEF-supported, 250 PSG-funded)
- Scholarship Support: 596 students (91% of total enrollment), primarily funded by the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) and PSG’s own financial aid initiatives.
Campus Facilities
- Academic: Classrooms, science labs, computer lab with internet, digital library, multimedia facilities
- Residential: Well-furnished hostels (separate for boys and girls)
- Health: On-campus clinic and medical support
- Recreation: Gymnasium, sports fields (football, cricket, hockey, basketball, badminton, squash, athletics)
- Social Spaces: Auditorium, mini-mart, student mess
- Clubs: Science, arts, music, drama, sports, and various societies

House System

Each house hosts academic, social, and extracurricular programs and is managed by residential house staff and faculty.
Student Development Strategy
PSG promotes inter-house competitions, sports, excursions, and leadership roles to foster individual and collective growth. Students gain practical experience in teamwork, organization, and responsibility.
Admissions & Fee Structure
- Eligibility: Pakistani citizens with permanent residence in Sindh (limited seats for other provinces)
- Quarterly Fee: Rs. 56,700 (includes tuition, lodging, boarding, medical, laundry, computer training, etc.)
- Scholarships/Freeships: Available for deserving and meritorious rural students, including a 10% reserved quota for Gadap Town.
